The workings of Accelerator’s Vector Manipulation

 Accelerator is the strongest of academy city’s level 5’s. along with is intellect this is because of his esper power, which gives him the ability to control and redirect all vectorsand influence objects that have vectors such as bullets, heat, and electricity.



What is a vector? In laymans terms, a vector is anything with a magnitude and a direction. This means that accelerator can Manipulate anything that moves. And this doesn’t mean stuff like rocks or anything thrown etc. he can manipulate anything that moves, including wind, gravity and the rotation of the planet!

His powers come in two parts. The passive part of his power is called the “reflection barrier”. This ability is performed by subconsciously some simple (for him) vectors. Some of them being gravity, air pressure, light, oxygen, heat, electricity, nitrogen, soundwave length, waterflow, radiation etc. he uses these to form a filter system for himself. This filter has one function. If something is harmful to accelerator, it will be redirected on contact. Everything else would pass through unchanged. According to accelerator, he can even survive a nuclear explosion with this ability



The active part of his ability is named “vector control” and is the primary reason he is named “The One Who Wields the Power of God” this can be an understatement as this ability allows him to control almost everything in the world. All it takes is a vector to start things of and he can use the calculations to do almost everything. Contrary to reflection barrier, the calculations done for this ability are done in real time and even a single error will nullify all effects. This ability allows him to understand the laws of the world and even use magic, even though it places great strain on his body.



Accelerator has used his vector control in several unique ways and with many applications like Earthquake Generation, Tactile Telekinesis, aerokinesis and plasma generation, Kinetic Energy Manipulation, Mind Hacking, Flight, sound nullifying and blood control.

Vector manipulation is a powerful and dangerous ability but it also requires intense calculations that not just anyone can perform.
